Are a lot of Russians mixed with Jews?

I heard one of the Neo-Nazi leaders in Russia (Tesak) has Jewish ancestry…. and some sites have said that a lot of them are mixed with Jews.

What is a lot and how much is enough?

Russians are the most numerous ethnic group in Europe and one of the largest in the world with a population of about 180 million people worldwide. Roughly 135 million ethnic Russians live in Russia and about 20 million more live in the neighboring countries. A relatively significant number of Russians, around 10 million, live elsewhere in the world, mostly in the Americas and Western Europe, but also in other places of Eastern Europe, Asia and elsewhere.*

A lot of Jews were searching and finding the ways of faking their real ethnicity in the birth certificates and the passports in the times of the USSR, because they believed being identified as a Jew would put their lives and careers in danger (which was often true). By the time they got a chance to leave the country they would have to “play back” this process to prove they may go to Israel… There were also Russians decorated as Jews when they couldn’t find any other way to get away from the communist regime and bizarre political situations after it was gone…Well, it’s a sad story, but the fact is it’s pretty difficult to find any reliable statistics on this subject. No matter how do you analyze the situation there have never been “enough” Jews to mix “a lot of” Russians for their amounts being so incomparable** .

The real name of Tesak is Максим Марценкевич. The first name Maxim was popular for a while among the Jews, it doesn’t mean that every Maxim is a Jew. His last name looks like Belorussian or Polish. So far It all “might look like something”, and there has never been presented any information about any real Jew who’s genealogical tree might be connected or traced to Mr. Martsenkevich. There were a lot of Jews in that region, and there are a lot of Jewish last names finishing with -evich, -ovich and -ski. All real Jewish last names usually have a Jewish (Hebrew, Yiddish, German) root + Slavic suffix. His name in my opinion looks more like a Ukrainian last name Marchenko or Martsenko extended and “Polonized” to make it look as if it belonged to some “noble” descent, and even that has nothing to do with anything Jewish.

Some sites can write … whatever. That’s one of the worst disadvantages of the Internet.
